Borrowing
How to find and request tools from your group, track your active loans, and return items.
Finding tools
Go to Tools or open a group and view its tools. You'll see what's available, who added it, and whether it's free to borrow.
Requesting to borrow
Open a tool and tap Request to borrow. Add any notes (e.g. when you need it, for how long). The owner will get a request and can approve or decline.
The tool owner gets a notification immediately. Most owners respond within a few hours.
Waiting for approval
Your active loans appear under My loans. You can see due dates and contact the owner. Return the tool on time and mark it returned in the app when you're done.
After you're approved
Once the owner approves your request, you'll get a notification. The tool is marked as lent to you and appears in your My loans list. Coordinate pickup with the owner using the contact details provided.
Returning a tool
From My loans, open the loan and choose Mark as returned. The tool goes back to available so others can request it.
Mark the tool returned in the app as soon as you hand it back — don't wait. This releases it for others to request.
