Bosch drill-drivers are engineered for precision. The GSR18V-800C is the connected flagship with Bluetooth torque control. The GSR18V-400C is a more traditional brushless model. Both are well-built tools that compete on engineering quality rather than raw price. The tradeoff is limited retail availability in the US.
Bosch 18V Platform
Bosch CORE18V batteries work in both. The battery selection is smaller than DeWalt or Milwaukee, so plan purchases in advance since Lowe's doesn't carry Bosch cordless and Home Depot stock is limited.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Bluetooth connectivity worth the premium?
For production assembly where you drive hundreds of fasteners to a specific torque, it's genuinely valuable. You can program torque presets for different screw types and switch between them. For general drilling and driving, the standard GSR18V-400C does the same work for $40 less.
Why do Bosch drill-drivers have 20 clutch settings?
Bosch targets precision applications. More clutch settings give you finer torque control, which matters when driving screws into softwood, hardwood, and engineered materials with different density. The 20 settings cover a wider range than the typical 15 to 16 settings on competitors.
