Frequently Asked Questions

Is a $59 bench grinder any good?

For sharpening lawn mower blades, deburring metal, and cleaning up rough cuts, it works. The tool rests wobble more than the DeWalt, and the stock wheels are mediocre. Replace the wheels with white aluminum oxide and it becomes a decent sharpening station.

Is the LED light useful?

More than you'd think. Bench grinders throw sparks, and the work area behind the sparks is usually dark. The built-in LED lights up the workpiece so you can see where you're grinding.
