Frequently Asked Questions
1/2-inch or 3/8-inch drive?
1/2-inch for lug nuts, large bolts, and construction work. 3/8-inch for automotive tasks under the hood. If you only buy one, the 1/2-inch is more versatile.
Can the DCF899 remove lug nuts?
Yes. 700 ft-lbs handles virtually all passenger vehicle lug nuts. Heavy trucks and overtorqued lugs might need a breaker bar first, but for normal automotive work it's plenty.
