Bosch miter saws are known for the Axial-Glide system, which replaces traditional slide rails with articulating arms. This lets you push the saw against a wall without losing slide capacity. The GCM18V-12GDCN (18V, 12" sliding) is the cordless flagship.
Bosch 18V Platform
The cordless GCM18V-12GDCN runs on PROFACTOR CORE18V batteries. Expect about 500 crosscuts in pine with an 8.0Ah battery. The corded GCM12SD doesn't need batteries at all.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Axial-Glide different from a normal slide?
Traditional slide rails stick out behind the saw by 12 to 18 inches. The Axial-Glide uses hinged arms that fold instead of extend. You can place the saw against a wall and still get full slide capacity. It's a meaningful space savings in a small shop.
Is the Bosch miter saw worth $750?
The Axial-Glide is genuinely useful, and the cut quality is excellent. But at nearly double the price of a DeWalt DHS790AT2, it's hard to justify unless space savings or Bosch ecosystem compatibility matters to you.
